The Focus of Our Efforts
As the City is working through its capital improvement projects, EPF is fundraising to elevate projects. Adding bathrooms, making sure equipment is accessible and bringing older equipment up to date are some of the interests we support.
Last summer we added 8 porta potties around parks, funded new play equipment for the Let’s Play Van and helped pay to send a City staff member to a national conference to gain knowledge of how other communities run their parks and recreation departments.
We believe all residents should be able to take advantage of the City’s camps and programs. To this end, we are committed to helping offset costs so the City can offer a sliding scale payment option for eligible residents.
We also support the City offering more summer camps at neighborhood parks. To achieve this goal, parks need a shelter and restroom. This is one of our funding priorities.
